BIO

Justice Michael, a dynamic musician from an early age, found his rhythmic calling at just three years old when he first laid hands on a drum kit. Graduating from the University of Miami, his academic journey deepened his musical understanding and allowed him to explore the intricacies of composition and theory.

Justice's accomplishments in the world of music are a testament to his exceptional talent. He achieved a remarkable feat at the world-renowned Apollo Theater, winning the hearts of audiences and judges alike four times. His electrifying performances will forever be part of theater's storied history.

 While Justice is primarily known for his drumming skills, his versatility as a musician shines through as he also plays the keys, produces music, and composes. His performances with acclaimed artists like Avery Sunshine, Adekunle Gold, Brian Simpson, and Peter White have showcased his exceptional drumming skills, elevating their performances to new heights.

Justice is also known for being the music director of the funk fusion band, Anonymous Da Band, where his musical prowess shines through. Justice’s musical journey has taken him to some of the most legendary venues, including Prince's Paisley Park, where he and his band delivered an unforgettable performance as part of the Musicology Battle of the Bands. His band has also had the privilege of opening for an impressive roster of artists, including Najee, Chrisette Michelle, Lalah Hathaway, Pieces of a Dream, and many more.

A standout in the world of music, Justice is currently touring as the drummer for Orchestra Noir, a groundbreaking ensemble at the intersection of classical and contemporary music. His rhythmic expertise adds a dynamic layer to their compositions, creating memorable live performances that leave audiences spellbound.

Justice's music has graced the stages of renowned concert events, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Jacksonville Jazz Festival, the Wade Ford Summer Concert Series (Mable House, Atlanta) and the Buffalo NY Jazz Festival. His captivating performances have become synonymous with the joy and energy of live music.

Justice has had the privilege of working with internationally known music directors such as Ray Chew, Morris Pleasure, Daniel Moore, Tres Gilbert, as well as his mentor Sonny Emory. This exposure to the world’s top musical minds has enriched his artistic depth and fueled his passion for rhythm and melody.

Justice's most recent album, "The Passage Live," is a testament to his artistry and ability to connect with audiences. His compositions are infused with emotion and depth, leaving a lasting impression in the hearts of those who have the pleasure of listening to his rhythmic storytelling.
